Angel Di Maria has admitted he could leave Real Madrid this summer, but ESPN reports the Argentina international isn’t keen on a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Angel Di Maria

Di Maria starred as Madrid won the Champions League a week ago, being named man of the match in the 4-1 win over Atletico Madrid, but told Spanish publication Marca that he doesn’t know if he’ll still be at the club next season.

He wants to remain at Santiago Bernabeu and said that when he works so hard, it’s disappointed to be linked with an exit amid reports Spurs are in for the midfielder. “Many things were said, sometimes you think a lot and it hurts you when you are trying to always do your best for a club and then it comes out that you might be going to Tottenham,” the former Benfica man said.

“These are difficult moments for a player and it is difficult to keep out of it,” he added. “[Last summer] I was relaxed, I knew I was going to stay at Madrid. I spoke with the boss and he wanted me to stay. I told him he could count on me. Things went well. I took a good decision and was European champion.”

Madrid ended the Spanish season in third place in the league, behind runners-up Barcelona and winners Atletico.

The 26-year-old Di Maria moved to Madrid from Benfica in 2010, having previously played for Rosario Central. He has made almost 200 appearances for Los Blancos in his time at the club and is in the Argentina squad for the summer’s World Cup.

I fail to see how his comments have been detrimental to Tottenham....mind you I can see the gutter press making something of it because they twist things and make up BS stories.....oh wait!!

Just a thought Regarding Dick Maria,, Having a girls name for a start. Really you should run your mouth about other clubs. i Real had not paid the ref to send Peter Crouch off, then you would have got a game,, Mourinho admited that. You might find yourself living in London after the summer,, it will be a pleasure for any Spurs fan to bump into you after the break. in the mean time enjoy Brazil, plenty for you to get your lips around down there
