Inter eyeing deal for Man Utd striker Hernandez

Inter are set to hand out-of-favour Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez a chance to move to the San Siro on loan with a view to a permanent move, according to the Daily Mail.

The Italian side, who finished fifth in Serie A last season, are looking to bring in two new strikers over the summer, and they have already registered an interest in Chelsea’s Fernando Torres, who could be surplus to requirements in West London should Diego Costa join from Atletico Madrid.

Valencia are also reportedly interested in both players, but Inter will be confident of landing Hernandez, who looks set to move on after four seasons at Old Trafford. Over the course of his time at the club, the Mexico international has found first-team opportunities increasingly limited, with Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck all preferred in attack.

Despite that, Hernandez has still helped Man Utd to two Premier League titles, and has a good scoring record when given the chance. Overall, he has 152 appearances for the Red Devils, netting 59 goals.
