Arsenal trio in Germany World Cup squad
Germany Coach Joachim Low has named his 23-man squad for the World Cup, including Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira and Arsenal trio Per Mertesacker, Lukas Podolski and Mesut Ozil, Sky Sports has reported.
Chelsea’s Andre Schurrle will also go to Brazil with Die Mannschaft but Low has named only one out-and-out striker, Lazio veteran Miroslav Klose, with the likes of Thomas Muller, Mario Gotze and Toni Kroos also involved.
Germany are in Group G in the tournament, along with Portugal, Ghana and the United States. They begin their campaign against Portugal on June 16 in Salvador.
