Arsenal’s Ramsey wanted by Barcelona and Bayern
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has caught the eye of Barcelona and Bayern Munich, the Daily Mail has reported, and could be the subject of an approach from both clubs.
It’s claimed that Ramsey’s form and development is the reason the Gunners won’t make a move for former captain Cesc Fabregas, who has been told he can leave Barca this summer. But Barca could make an offer for the Wales international, the newspaper says.
Bayern, meanwhile, see Ramsey as a potential replacement for Toni Kroos, who is approaching the final year of his contract and has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United.
Chelsea would also be interested in Kroos if he leaves the German champions on a free transfer next summer, while Real Madrid have asked Bayern about Kroos’ availability.
Ramsey has been at Arsenal since a 2008 move from Cardiff City, scoring 27 goals in 184 games in that time. He has also had a loan spell back in the Welsh capital in 2010-11, and spent time at Nottingham Forest that same year.
