Chelsea have given winger Eden Hazard his favoured number 10 shirt increasingly speculation he may stay at the club despite continued major interest from French giants Paris Saint Germain, the Daily Mail is reporting.

PSG are reportedly ready to offer a staggering £61m for the Belgian ace having already signed centre back David Luiz from the Blues for £50m.

And the French Champions can offer £230,000 a week on a five year deal, despite already being fined £49m for a breach of FIFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.

However, the club announced that the Belgian will be wearing the number 10 shirt form next season – a number that was left vacant last term.

Hazard said of this: “I am very pleased to be able to wear the number 10 for Chelsea. It is my favourite number and is one I am used to wearing for the national team, as well as the one worn by some of my heroes from when I was a kid, like Zinedine Zidane.”

Jose Mourinho is hoping to confirm a £35m move for Spain forward Diego Costa and is also reportedly interested in Atletico team mates Tiago, Felipe Luis, Koke and Diego Godin – while also in reported early talks to sign Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona.

Chelsea will be aware of the strict punishments for breaching FFP rulings and PSG’s astonishing move for Hazard could tempt the club into selling to finance moves elsewhere.
