United to sell Fellaini on the cheap

According to ESPN,Manchester United are set to listen to offers of around £15m for Marouane Fellaini this summer.

Marouane Fellaini

Fellaini, United’s fourth most expensive signing of all time after signing from Everton for £27.5m, could be on his way out of Old Trafford after just one year and a disastrous season which saw the Belgian play 21 times without scoring and The Red devils miss out on Europe for the first time in 25 years.

With no European competition to play for next season and therefore less games to play, Louis van Gaal is reportedly hoping to trim the squad size from 30 to around 22 and that does not spell good news for Fellaini.

Fellaini will be hoping that some good performances for Belgium at the World Cup this summer will put him back in Van Gaal’s plans and with Belgium being one of many people’s dark horse for the tournament, he may get a chance to do so.

The 25 year old has made 49 appearances for Belgium, scoring 8 goals.
