Arsenal and Tottenham are battling with Inter in the race to sign Alvaro Morata, after Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti revealed he was free to leave the club on loan, according to the

Daily Mail.

Alvaro Morata

Morata is looking for regular first-team football after finding starts difficult to come by last season, where he was most often used as a substitute. Ancelotti is intending to bid for Liverpool star Luis Suarez this summer, and so knows that Morata may need to find regular action elsewhere.

Admitting that Morata should leave the club on loan, Ancelotti said: 'The player wants to look for an opportunity where he can play more and the club agrees with this. If he leaves it would be good that he would have the chance to play. If Morata goes we have to think about getting a young forward with the same characteristics.'

Arsenal have long been linked with a move for Morata as they search for a striker to help provide competition and support to Olivier Giroud, while new Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has identified the 21-year-old as a key summer target. Meanwhile, Inter are also in the hunt for a striker, although Chelsea’s Fernando Torres is thought to be their first-choice.
