Porto move interests Liverpool starlet Suso
Suso has stated his desire to see more first team action, and may have to leave Anfield to find it, reports the Daily Mail.
The Spanish prodigy would prefer to remain at Liverpool, however he has made it clear that this is conditional on him receiving more game-time with the Merseyside club. Porto are reported to have made enquiries, and Suso is open to the possibility of a switch to the Portuguese giants.
“Porto is an excellent option if I leave Liverpool,” said Suso. “Porto are the best club in Portugal and they have faith in their youngsters. They also have a coach I like working with [Julen Lopetegui].”
He has made it clear that he will only consider renewing his Liverpool contract if he is guaranteed a more prominent and regular role in the first team. With a year remaining on his current deal, Suso also hopes and expects Liverpool to let him leave now rather than walk away for free when his contract expires.
His talent not in doubt, his career has not been without controversy, having been fined £10,000 for a homophobic comment aimed at a Liverpool team mate on Twitter.
Having made his competitive debut for the Reds in 2012, he has been unable to command a regular first team spot, and spent last season on loan in Spain with Almeria. Here he found the opportunity he craved, and made 33 appearances in all competitions, finding the net three times.
