Everton and Barca in more loan talks
Barcelona are willing to send more players on loan to Everton after the success of Gerard Deulofeu’s spell at the Premier League club, Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo has reported.
No names are mentioned but it’s said that Barca could let two players from the B team move to Merseyside for next season, with Everton’s participation in the Europa League a factor.
Barca sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta visited Everton’s Finch Farm training ground in February and was said to be impressed by the facility, while the Catalans are fond of manager Roberto Martinez, the style of play employed by his teams and his handling of players.
Deulofeu made 29 appearances for the Toffees, scoring four goals, after he was allowed to leave Camp Nou for 12 months. He netted an equalising goal against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in December and his form was enough to catch the eye of Vicente Del Bosque, who called the 20-year-old into the Spain squad for the pre-World Cup friendly against Bolivia. Deulofeu was introduced as a second-half substitute and is expected to be part of the Barca squad next season under new Coach Luis Enrique.
