Brazil Coach Luis Felipe Scolari has said the draw with Mexico in World Cup Group A was a fair result, according to Sky Sports.

The game between the hosts and the Central Americans ended goalless after a sterling performance from Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who made a number of saves to prevent Scolari’s side taking the lead.

Scolari said after the match that while he had no complaints over the performance or the result, it wasn’t a good outcome for his side. “I am satisfied. It was a good game, both teams showed they wanted the goal, showed quality, teamwork, physical strength,” Scolari said. “The 0-0 reflects well how the game was.

“Brazil have been playing the same way for the last 20 games, we showed quality, but the draw is not a good result. We're facing good teams, we have to remember that. We have to respect our opposition.”

The result leaves Brazil top of the group and Mexico second, both on four points, but Cameroon and Croatia meet later on Wednesday. The final round of group games then pits Brazil against Cameroon and Mexico against Croatia on June 23.
