Milan willing to negotiate over Balotelli
Milan may be willing to lower their price for striker Mario Balotelli, but only if Arsenal allow young Costa Rica star Joel Campbell to move in the other direction, according to the Metro.
Recent reports have suggested that Milan have begun an interest in the 21-year-old Campbell, who put in an outstanding performance as Costa Rica beat Uruguay in their opening World Cup match, where he scored one goal and provided a defence-splitting pass to set up another.
However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted that Campbell would return to the Emirates Stadium for next season, having spent his previous years at the club out on loan. That may scupper any chance of the Italian side budging on their £27m asking price for Balotelli, who has been linked to Arsenal for several weeks.
Wenger is looking to sign a striker to provide competition and support to Olivier Giroud, and Balotelli has emerged as a key target despite question marks over his off-the-field behaviour. He joined Milan from Manchester City in January 2013 and has since scored 30 goals in his 54 appearances.
