Mauricio Isla, the Juventus wing-back said to be a target of Premier League pair Arsenal and Liverpool, has said he is happy to stay with the Serie A champions, Sky Sports has reported.

Mauricio Isla

Isla, part of Chile’s World Cup squad, has been mentioned in connection with both the Gunners and the Reds, but told La Tercera that he would remain in Turin for as long as he is wanted by the club. “I am working hard for both Chile and Juventus. For me it is all good,” he said.

“Will I stay at Juventus? I know that the fans support me. I have learned from many players at Juventus and continue to work hard,” Isla continued. “If the coach wants me to return, then I am glad because I want to do my best at the World Cup and then return to Juventus.”

Isla, 26, began his career at Universidad Catolica in his homeland but in 2007 switched to Udinese having never played in the first team. He spent five years with the Zebrette, making more than 150 appearances, before moving to Juve. He has won two titles with the Old Lady and has almost 50 caps for his country.
