Chelsea begin Lavezzi negotiations
Chelsea are finally set to start discussions over a transfer for Paris Saint Germain star Ezequiell Lavezzi, reports the Metro, having courted the winger for the past two transfer windows.
The Argentine has been a long term target for Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and it now looks like he is finally set to try and land his man.
And Lavezzi, who is currently with the Argentina squad in Brazil, is thought to be open to the idea of moving away from the Parisians, and the offer of a lucrative contract at Stamford Bridge may well tempt him to West London.
A mooted £18m fee is thought to be discussed with Le Sport 10 believing formal negotiations are in place.
And the clubs have already done business this summer after PSG landed centre back David Luiz for a whopping £50m - both clubs have created a good working partnership from the deal.
Lavezzi has spent two seasons in Paris and already toted up 90 appearances, scoring 23 goals and creating 18 more in impressive fashion.
Mourinho is said to admire his ability to play anywhere across a front three and tactical awareness, including a high work rate in games.
