Liverpool offered Sanchez as part of Suarez deal
With Barcelona interested in Liverpool star the Anfield club could well bag winger Alexis Sanchez in any potential deal, according to the Daily Star.
Liverpool have shown interest in Sanchez in the past and the Nou Camp outfit are hoping a cash plus player bid could be enough to tempt Suarez to La Liga.
And Sanchez, who is rated at around £25m, is having an excellent World Cup with surprise package Chile and impressed in their two wins so far in the competition.
While the Reds prevailed in their struggles to keep the Uruguayan hit man last summer – resisting a £40m plus one pound bid to trigger his release clause, there fight could be made increasingly difficult following the players comments after beating England at the World Cup last week.
Suarez stated after his two goal heroics: “People in England laughed about my attitude over the last few years.
“I want to see what they think now.”
And with Barcelona set to go a major rebuild before the new season they want a landmark signing as a statement of intent to their rivals.
However, their lack of financial capability could see players heading in the opposite direction of deals, with Sanchez the preferred bait in any deal.
