Milan have admitted that Arsenal target Mario Balotelli could be allowed to leave the club, the Guardian has reported.

The Gunners have been strongly linked with a move for the former Manchester City striker, currently representing Italy at the World Cup. A £30m fee has been mooted and Balotelli’s agent, Mina Raiola, has suggested the Premier League club are one of few who could sign his client.

Milan’s vice-president, Barbara Berlusconi, has said that while the club values Balotelli as a player, it’s wrong to say he or anyone else will never be replaced. “Balotelli is a great player,” Berlusconi said. “But the way I see it, I don’t believe that someone can be irreplaceable. We will see what happens.”

Balotelli left City for Milan in January 2013 in a £17m move, having spent two-and-a-half years at the Etihad Stadium. He netted 14 goals in 30 games for Milan last season and has four years remaining on his contract at San Siro, and scored the winner for Italy against England earlier this month.
