Manchester City target Memphis Depay has said he is yet to hold any talks with clubs as the Netherlands advanced to the quarter finals of the World Cup, insiting that talks will have to wait while they are still in the competition, the Daily Express is reporting.

Depay, who is also attracting interest from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, has said he is aware of the English top flight interest but his agent, in Brazil with the player, has not spoke with clubs.

The 20-year-old has been one of the most impressive youngsters at the tournament with some admirers even dubbing the Dutchman the ‘next Cristiano Ronaldo’, and netted in games against Australia and then securing top spot of Group B with the second against Chile.

The player said: “Of course I've read that Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are interested.

“My agent Kees Ploegsma is here too, but we are not talking about that kind of stuff.”

Many believe that his relationship with Holland boss and next United manager Louis Van Gaal may give the Old Trafford club the upper hand in the possible battle for the winger.

He has made 84 appearances for current club PSV Eindhoven, scoring 22 goals.
