Arsenal ‘agree fee for Sanchez’

Arsenal have agreed a fee of £34m with Barcelona for forward Alexis Sanchez, but the Spanish club will wait to see if Juventus can match that offer, according to the Daily Mail.

Alexis Sanchez

Sanchez has been a target for Arsenal throughout the summer so far, with manager Arsene Wenger looking to boost his attacking options for the coming season, as well as adding more strength in depth. Premier League rivals Liverpool have also been in the running to sign the Chile star, but he is not keen on a move to Anfield.

New Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is willing to allow the former Udinese star to leave this summer after three years with the club, in which he has scored 47 goals in 141 appearances, helping them to the La Liga title in 2013.

He could still be keen on a return to Italy if Juventus do come in with an offer that matches or betters Arsenal’s, but the Turin are currently struggling financially and could be forced into selling one of their key players in order to raise funds.
