Liverpool to seal Origi deal
Liverpool are in pole position to clinch the signature of Divock Origi after they agreed a fee and personal terms, and despite interest from Tottenham will be confident of completing the deal, according to the Telegraph.
Origi is due to travel to Merseyside with his father for talks with the Anfield outfit after a fee believed to be £10m was agreed with personal terms also thought to be tied up.
While Tottenham have made a late move for the 19-year-old, who has impressed during this summer’s World Cup as Belgium made the quarter finals, he is widely expected to complete a move to Liverpool in the near future.
As part of the deal the teenager will then head back to current club Lille for a season long loan to continue his development with first team football.
The Reds are also expected to tie up a deal for winger Lazar Markovic for £25m – with the two transfers set to push Liverpool’s summer spend beyond £70m.
Much of this however should be recouped by the potential sale of shamed star striker Luis Suarez, who is currently discussing a deal with Spanish giants Barcelona.
