Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, who says he will decide his future after he returns from holiday, the Daily Mail has reported.

Vidal has now been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford for some weeks, and he has admitted that he would like to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world. The Italian champions value the 28-year-old at around £35m, but United are expected to try and meet that asking price.

The deal may also include Patrice Evra heading in the other direction, with the left-back having reportedly asked Man Utd to move to Turin in recent days. With the World Cup now over, new Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal can focus his efforts on signing the Chilean, of whom he is a huge admirer.

Since joining in January 2012, Vidal has helped Juventus to three consecutive Serie A titles, but has revealed he is open to a move to Man Utd. 'I'm enjoying my holidays, and when I return to Italy I'll see what happens. I'm very calm, but anyone would love to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.'
