Vidal is not for sale, Juventus insist
Juventus owner Giuseppe Marotta has insisted that midfielder Arturo Vidal will not be sold by the club this summer despite considerable interest, BBC Sport has reported.
Manchester United have been the club most heavily linked with Vidal, with some reports suggesting that they were preparing a £35m bid. When asked of the speculation concerning the well publicised interest in Vidal, Marotta was quick to state that the Chilean would not be leaving Turin.
"Vidal is a Juventus player and we have never put him up for sale," said Marotta. ‘A lot of clubs have asked for him but we have never sat down to negotiate. We want to keep him. From experience, I know that a player is the one that decides his future. Vidal has expressed many times how happy he is to remain in Turin and if that is confirmed, we will be happy to continue together."
The 27-year-old still has three years remaining on his contract at the Juventus Stadium, having won the Serie A title in each of his three seasons at the club since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011.
