Man City eye potential outcast Isco
Manchester City may make a move for Spanish star Isco after Real Madrid’s signing of James Rodruigez could see him on the periphery this season, the Daily Mail is reporting.
Real sealed a stunning £63m move for Colombian star James Rodriguez on Tuesday and will most likely go straight into the squad come the new season, leaving question marks over the future of Isco at the club.
The Spanish giants have also bought in Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich and will be looking to offset their summer spend – and Isco is touted as one of the first to possibly be let go just a year after he made the move to the Berabeu.
Manuel Pellegrini managed the player during their time at Malaga and remains keen on the 22-year-old despite being snubbed for the European Champions last summer.
Isco featured 82 times under the Chilean manager in two years at the Spanish club where he flourished and earned himself a move to Real following Pellegrini’s departure.
Last season he made 53 appearances in his debut campaign, scoring 11goals and creating eight more.
