Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has appeared to rule out a move to Manchester United this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

Arturo Vidal

The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Turin in recent months, since winning his third consecutive Serie A title since joining Juventus in the summer of 2011 from Bayer Leverkusen. Man Utd and Real Madrid are the two sides reportedly in the race to sign Vidal.

The Italian club are not keen to sell Vidal, who still has three years remaining on his current contract, but may be tempted by an offer of around £36m. Real Madrid have already signed United target Toni Kroos this summer and could be willing to pay that amount, while Man Utd chief executive Ed Woodward has claimed they have plenty of money to spend.

However, when asked of the possibility of joining Man Utd, the Chilean did not rule out leaving Juventus, but insisted he is not going to go to Old Trafford. He said: 'I do not go to Manchester. Can I say I will remain with Juve? I don’t know.

'I’ll talk to (manager Massimo) Allegri on Monday and then we will see. I haven’t spoken with Allegri or any of my team-mates yet, but I’m not going to Manchester.'
