Pochettino wants Rose at Tottenham
Mauricio Pochettino has dismissed the chances of Danny Rose leaving Tottenham Hotspur this season, according to ClubCall.
Hull City were said to be interested in the left-back but the Tigers appear to have all-but wrapped up a deal for Dundee United’s Andrew Robertson, quashing talk of a £6m bid from Steve Bruce.
Pochettino has come out publically to suggest Rose will remain at White Hart Lane, even with the signing of Ben Davies from Swansea City, which was confirmed this week. “Davies is important for us because he's good competition for Danny Rose on the left side,” Pochettino said. “[Davies] is a young player, but he has good experience in the Premier League.”
Rose has been at Spurs since a 2007 move from Leeds United, spending time on loan at Watford, Peterborough, Bristol City and Sunderland. He’s gone on to make 59 appearances for Tottenham, 30 of which came last season, with Rose also claiming two goals - one of Tottenham’s five against Dinamo Tiblisi and the winner against Stoke City in April.
