As part of the deal for the teen sensation who starred at the World Cup this summer, Origi will re-join sellers Lille on loan for the whole of next season to further his football development, joining up with the Anfield squad in 2015.

Origi was delighted to sign his new five year deal with the club and expressed his desire to excitement at the opportunity to represent Liverpool in the future.

He said: “I am very happy and delighted a club as big as Liverpool showed interest in me. I'm very excited.”

“For me, Liverpool is one of the greatest clubs in the world and I'm very excited to be part of this great history.”

The 19-year-old has taken Liverpool’s summer spend to a whopping £89m as manager Brendan Rodgers looks to add to his squad’s depth and quality, with a season including Champions League football ahead.

With Luis Suarez leaving for Barcelona in a £75m deal most of the club’s spend has been recouped.

Origi joins Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Emre Can, Lazar Markovic and Dejan Lovren on the arrivals list at Anfield this summer.
