Queens Park Rangers are weighing up an audacious attempt to sign Brazilian legend Ronaldinho ahead of the new season, according to the Express .

Ronaldinho

Ronaldinho, who saw his contract with Atletico Mineiro tore up this week, is available on a free transfer and is believed to be open to the idea of a switch to Loftus Road and join pal Julio Cesar at the club.

The two time FIFA World Player of the Year is said to not be considering retirement – he is 34-years-old and wants to play as long as another eight years.

The Brazilian has played for the likes of Barcelona, AC Milan and Paris Saint Germain during his career.

There a host of clubs lining up to make an offer for the former Ballon D’or winner from all over the world to rival QPR’s interest.

Argentinian club Boca Juniors, Brazilian club Fluminense, Turkish giants Besikats and Frank Lampard’s new club New York City have all expressed their desire to take on the Brazilian playmaker.

His latest move will represent his seventh club during a glittering career, in which he has collected 17 senior honours including the Champions League, La Liga, Serie A and the World Cup.
