Swansea City manager Garry Monk has admitted that he interested in signing Tottenham defender Kyle Naughton, Sky Sports has reported.

Kyle Naughton

Monk insisted that no bid has been made and that Naughton is just one of a number of potential targets. "We're looking at a number of players. We're going to get linked with players left, right and centre and I think we've been linked with just about everyone this summer," he said

"We are looking at him (Naughton), but we're looking at a number of players. We're talking about a player who's with another club, so I don't want to disrespect anyone. That's just me looking. We've made no offer for any other player. We have to find the right target and do the right deal to bring them into the club.’

The Welsh club are in the market for a defender this summer despite tying down captain Ashley Williams to a new contract. As a full-back by trade, Naughton could be seen as a possible replacement for Ben Davies, who moved to Tottenham in July.

Naughton was brought to White Hart Lane by Harry Redknapp from Sheffield United in 2009 along with Kyle Walker, and he has gone on to make 64 appearances without scoring.
