Tottenham trio heading for the exit

Tottenham Hotspur could move Andros Townsend, Sandro and Roberto Soldado out of the club as Mauricio Pochettino looks to refresh the squad he inherited from Tim Sherwood, the Daily Mail has reported.

Roberto Soldado

Technical director Franco Baldini is said to be active looking for clubs to take a raft of unwanted players, either in permanent deals or on loan. Soldado and Nacer Chadli, signed last summer when Andre Villas-Boas was Head Coach, are among those who Spurs are trying to sell, it’s claimed.

Sandro, Paulinho, Kyle Naughton, Younes Kaboul, Michael Dawson, Townsend, and Kyle Walker have all attracted interest and Walker is said to be the only player the club are unwilling to consider letting go.

Walker is thought to be on Barcelona’s shortlist as they search for a right-back to replace Dani Alves, while Soldado was attracting attention from Spanish champions Atletico Madrid. Chadli, meanwhile, was offered to PSV Eindhoven in part-exchange for Memphis Depay but turned down the move to the Eredivisie.

Spurs have this summer signed Michel Vorm and Ben Davies, both from Swansea City, and Sporting Lisbon’s England Under-21 defender Eric Dier. The likes of Heurelho Gomes, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jake Livermore have left, Livermore completing a permanent move to Hull City after spending last season on loan with the Tigers.
