Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez has agreed a loan move from Manchester United to Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb, talkSPORT has confirmed.

The loan deal will see Henriquez play the full season for Dinamo and an option has been included to make the transfer a permanent one later should all parties agree.

“I am happy to arrive at Dinamo, I want to achieve great things here,” said Henriquez, expressing confidence in his own ability. “I have a lot of goals, I want to prove myself and Dinamo is a great club where I can progress.”

The 20-year-old began his senior career with Universidad de Chile before making the move to Manchester in 2012. He spent his first season in England on loan at Wigan Athletic, for who he made eight appearance, scoring once.

A more bountiful loan spell followed, as he spent the 2013/14 with Real Zaragoza in the Spanish Segunda Division, making 25 appearances and netting six goals.

Henriquez has also already bagged two goals in three senior appearances for the Chile national team.

Dinamo are clearly delighted to have secured the services of such a highly rated young player.

“We believe Angelo is a great attacking addition who will further raise the quality of our squad,” said a club spokesman. “We are happy that we were able to arrange his arrival at Dinamo Zagreb and it's a big deal for us, but also for our football. Such transfers raise the rating our club and the whole Croatian football league in general.”

Having won the Croatian title by 11 points last season, Dinamo crashed out of this season’s Champions League in the third qualifying round after a 2-1 aggregate defeat to Denmark’s AaB. They now face Romanian side Petrolul Ploiești in a play-off for a place in the Europa League group stage.

Henriquez is looking forward to the upcoming European challenge. “The club have some important matches in the Europa League coming up and I want to help Dinamo qualify for the group stages and then have some real results in Europe,” said the young striker.
