Redknapp open to signing Zaha on loan
Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that he would be interested in signing Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha should he be made available for loan, BBC Sport has reported.
Despite a lack of options for Man Utd boss Louis van Gaal, the signs are that Zaha may again find appearances hard to come by at Old Trafford, having made only two outings since joining the club at the beginning of last season from Crystal Palace.
As a result of being frozen out by David Moyes and finding himself behind Antonio Valencia, Adnan Januzaj, Nani and Ashley Young in the pecking order, he was sent out on loan to Cardiff City in January, where he ended up making 13 appearances without scoring or claiming an assist, as the Bluebirds were relegated from the Premier League.
Zaha has been tipped to move out on loan before the transfer window closes on August 31, and Redknapp has revealed that he would be interest in bringing the 21-year-old to Loftus Road. "If we thought he was available he would certainly be of interest," he said. "If they were to loan him I'm sure a lot of clubs would be interested."
