Manchester United will offer striker Javier “Chicharito” Hernández to Juventus as they continue their pursuit of Chilean international midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to The Daily Star.

Juventus are said to be holding out for £40 million for 27-year-old Vidal, but United remain hopeful that they may drop this asking price. Rumours have now emerged that United will push Hernández into accepting a move to the Turin giants as part of the deal.

Mexican star Hernández, also said to be attracting interest from Valencia, joined United for deal rumoured to be worth around £6 million from CD Guadalajara in 2010.

He scored on his competitive debut in the Community Shield Victory over Chelsea, and enjoyed a wonderful first season in Manchester, picking up a Premier League winners medal, the supporters’ player of the year award and a nomination for PFA Young Player of the Year. To date he has 59 goals in 154 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils.

Vidal, who has 28 Serie A goals in 96 appearances for Juventus since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011, has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford, and United are set to use the Italians’ interest in Hernández to tempt them into a sale.
