Spain lead latest FIFA World Rankings
Spain remain at the top of the latest FIFA World Rankings for international teams, while Uruguay are up to third place for the first time in the country’s history.
In a table published by La Razon Vicente del Bosque’s men, the current World and European champions, lead the way with 1,442 points, with 2010 beaten World Cup finalists Holland dropping down to fourth place as Germany, the third-placed team in South Africa, move into second spot.
Portugal are another country on the move, rising to fifth and leapfrogging Brazil and England, while both Croatia and Denmark have jumped two places as Argentina plunge to 10th. Rumania, Libya, Scotland and El Salvador have all gatecrashed the top 50.
The top 20 at April 11, 2012 is:
1. Spain 1,442 points.
2. Germany 1,345.
3. Uruguay 1.309.
4. Holland 1,207.
5. Portugal 1,190.
6. Brazil 1,165.
7. England 1,132.
8. Croatia 1,114.
9. Denmark 1,069.
