Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Chelsea. Today:

Ancelotti wants England job.
Speaking to Sky Sports News , Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he wants a long reign at Chelsea and he also hinted that he could be interested in the England job one day. The Italian led the Blues to a Premier League and FA Cup double in his first season at the helm and he has stated that he wants to be in the job for as long as Sir Alex Ferguson has been at Manchester United: “Right now my aim is I want to stay the same time that Ferguson stayed at Manchester United,” the former AC Milan coach declared before suggesting he could follow in compatriot Fabio Capello’s footsteps. “Why not. But not now. I'm serious, in 24 years I will be 75 years old but I don't know if I'll be able to manage the national team then."
Malouda reveals Utd interest.
Florent Malouda has revealed that Manchester United and Real Madrid also expressed an interest in signing him. The winger, who has already scored four times this season, however chose Stamford Bridge because of the presence of players such as Didier Drogba and Michael Essien. Speaking to Chelsea TV he stated: “Liverpool were the first club to make an offer. Lyon have a good relationship with Real Madrid as well, so they were saying to go there but my first choice was Chelsea. When Didier signed here, I came to Stamford Bridge many times, there was also Makelele and then Michael Essien came. I felt if I had to go to England then this would be the place where I'd feel comfortable and it would have the atmosphere that would help me perform. So I told the president of Lyon that my choice was Chelsea and I asked him to get me here before pre-season started.”
Private lives private.
Carlo Ancelotti has also admitted that he is not interested in what his players do off the pitch and he believes the English media are too intrusive. Chelsea captain John Terry and Ashley Cole have both been involved in off the field scandals in the past and the manager, speaking to BBC Radio 94.9 , declared: “I’m not interested in private life of my players. It’s not involved in our job. I think private life has to be private life. John Terry was able to keep his private problem outside of the training ground, and for that reason he remained captain of Chelsea. The media are too intrusive but that is the culture of this country.” He did, however, praise other aspects of the British game, stating: “There are good things here, there is a fantastic atmosphere around football, there is no violence and people come to watch games to enjoy [themselves], that is totally different from Italy.”
Sturridge confident of U21 win.
Daniel Sturridge believes that team spirit will help the England Under-21s overcome this evening’s opponents Lithuania. Stuart Pearce’s side need a home victory at Colchester to ensure they have a chance of reaching the Euro 2011 play-offs and the Chelsea striker is feeling confident. Despite England only managing a 0-0 away in Lithuania last November, he told TheFA.com: “ We’re a great unit as a team and we’re working hard. We have to go into the game knowing that we have to win it and we have got to go out there and attack and try and score as many goals as we can. And, when we score goals, we have to keep it tight at the back as well.” The 21-year-old also added: ““It was great for me to score but the victory we got in Portugal was the most important thing. If we didn’t get that three points we would have been going home and we’d have been out of the competition. It’s giving us a glimmer of hope.”
