Liverpool coach full of praise for Bellamy

By Bryan Waters

Thursday 17 November 2011

Liverpool first team coach Kevin Keen believes that striker Craig Bellamy has been hugely influential for the club and has manager potential, liverpoolfc.tv reports.

The Welsh international signed a two year deal on transfer deadline day this summer to return to the club he supported as a child and left in 2007 after a brief, but troublesome stint. Bellamy has caught the eye with his eight appearances so far and seems to be back to playing his best football.

Keen thinks that the experience of Bellamy is vital not just on the pitch, but in training as well and the 32 year old has the attributes to become a manager once his playing days are over.

‘I think he has been a really good addition for us. He is really good around the training ground. He’s not scared to dig people out if they’re not doing things properly. I like him, he is a fantastic professional. I think in the future, you could be interviewing him as a manager somewhere in England or Wales’, the Reds first team coach said.
