Valencia keen on Rayo striker

According to Superdeporte Valencia are understood to be keen on signing Rayo Vallecano striker Alhassane ‘Lass’ Bangoura before the start of next season, having been on the trail of the Guinea international for the past few months.
Furthermore, the 19-year-old told the same publication he would welcome a move to the Mestalla when asked about it after scoring two of his side’s goals in the 5-3 away win at Levante last weekend.
“I would like to go to Valencia,” he said, “but I will just have to keep working until the end of the season and see if they call me. Valencia are a great team that play good football, which is what I like. It is a big club with a lot of talented players and I would love to play alongside them.”
Bangoura, who recently returned from representing his country in the African Nations Cup, has appeared 18 times for Rayo this term with his only other goal coming in a 2-0 away win at Real Betis. Although predominantly a centre-forward, he can also operate on either wing and has also attracted the interest of Atlético Madrid. However, Bangoura is keen to stress he is happy in Vallecas for the time being after coming through the club’s youth system, having started his career with Etoile de Guinée in his native country.
Since then his rise to the Rayo first team has been rapid, his 23 goals in 25 games for the club’s second string earning him his debut in last season’s promotion campaign and a new four-year deal at the beginning of this season.
