Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will give his new permanent manager a list of potential star signings to choose from this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Russian is looking to rebuild the Blues’ ageing squad and Chelsea’s scouting staff have already identified high-profile players to replace the likes of Florent Malouda and Didier Drogba, who are expected to leave at the end of the season.

Abramovich has identified three key positions in which the Stamford Bridge outfit could strengthen and will target a forward, two full-backs and an attacking midfielder.

The Mail claims that Chelsea’s new boss will be allowed to pick from some of the top strikers in Europe, including Porto’s Hulk, Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain and Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao. Ajax’s versatile defender Jan Vertonghen is also on the list, while Chelsea could launch a new bid for Tottenham’s Luka Modric following their failed attempts to capture the Croatian midfielder last summer.
