Liverpool boss Dalglish hails talents of Suarez

Sunday 29 April 2012

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has praised the magnificent individual performance from striker Luis Suarez after the Reds beat Norwich 3-0, BBC Sport reports.

The Uruguayan has had his fair share of negative press this season, especially following his eight game ban for racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra. However, Suarez showed how good of a player he really is with all three goals in Liverpool’s success at Carrow Road.

One of the striker’s efforts was a sublime 45-yard chip and Dalglish is delighted with how well Suarez played, especially as the FA Cup final with Chelsea takes place next Saturday. The Liverpool boss was not only happy with the Uruguayan’s individual efforts, but the way his team played in a comfortable fixture at Carrow Road.

Dalglish said: “He’s a special player. It was a fantastic performance. Everyone knows what’s coming ahead on Saturday, but the team did their jobs professionally and efficiently.”

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard also lauded Suarez’s efforts, but admits that he nearly criticised Suarez as he took the shot for his hat-trick goal. The midfielder returned to the side after being rested in last weekend’s 1-0 loss to West Brom and linked up brilliantly with Suarez, which will please Dalglish also.
