Fabio Capello has admitted that he would like to manage in the Premier League, the BBC has reported. The Italian stepped down as England Head Coach in February, with Roy Hodgson confirmed this week as his replacement.

.

Capello said: “England would be very interesting for me because I know very well the teams and the players. I want to manage a team that wants to win something, if possible.” The former Juventus boss has reportedly already rejected offers from clubs around Europe, instead holding out for a position with a club competing for the Champions League as well as the Premier League.

The 65-year-old has a long and distinguished career as a Coach behind him, taking his first senior role with Milan in 1986-87 as a caretaker for the final six games of the season before being handed the job on a full-time basis in 1991. Capello went on to win four Serie A titles with Milan, and won the trophy once with Roma and twice with Juventus, although both of those were later revoked due to the Calciopoli scandal. Capello also has two La Liga crowns to his credit, won in 1996-97 and 2006-07 with Real Madrid.
