Arsenal defender Sagna feels leg break against Norwich was no accident

Monday 07 May 2012

Bacary Sagna has accused Norwich City midfielder Bradley Johnson of purposely stamping on his leg and breaking it, the second time this season the Arsenal defender has suffered such an injury, the BBC has reported.

Sagna was speaking to French publication L’Equipe, and said: “I think he did it on purpose. He stepped on my leg…He stepped right where the plate was. I think the plate pressured [the bone]. It's a neat break, just above the plate.

The first time Sagna broke his leg this season was at Tottenham Hotspur’s White Hart Lane during the North London derby in early October. The full-back contested an aerial ball with Spurs left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto and landed awkwardly, missing nearly three months of the season due to the injury. Sagna is therefore to miss France’s Euro 2012 campaign as well as Arsenal’s pre-season preparations.

Johnson, a former Arsenal trainee, was defender by Norwich manager Paul Lambert, who on Sunday told Sky Sports that the collision was accidental, while Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said in his post-match interview on Saturday that he was unsure if the injury was accidental or otherwise.

Oh thats right, he went to deliberately break Sagna's leg and knew exactly where the plate in his leg was and aimed for it!! Unbelievable, the arsenal players, the manager and the fans are total buffoons!!!

If it was an accident,Johnson being an ex-Arsenal,would have shown some consideration and said sorry. But he did not. Clue would suggest a deliberate action, and Sagna is right.
