Arsenal boss Wenger attacks big spending rivals Chelsea and Man City

Arsene Wenger has issued a huge criticism of the big spenders in football and has reiterated previous comments that those who pay high transfer fees are running the risk of sending football as a whole into financial ruin. Reported in the Daily Mail, the Arsenal manager has taken aim at Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea as well as Paris Saint-Germain.

He said: “We consider ourselves in a privileged position because we have a massive income. But overall we are not mega-rich because we do not have unlimited resources.

A club can buy players like PSG has done or Manchester City or Chelsea, with unlimited resources but overall football suffers. Look at the activity on the transfer market since the start of the summer.

The Gunners boss is referring to the big summer signings by Chelsea totaling fees in the region of £55m - Eden Hazard and Oscar - as well as PSG who have spent close to £80m rebuilding their squad - Thiago Silva, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marco Verratti have all arrived.

Wenger himself has spent around £20m this summer, bolstering his attack with the addition of Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud. In recent seasons Wenger has sold some of his top talent to the big spenders of Europe, helping to make Arsenal one of the few clubs in Europe running at a steady cost, not incurring any large debts.

The moron, coming from someone who haven't won a single trophy for more than 7 years, we'll all take that with a bit of salt. If it's so easy to pay less for players and still get better value then he should be the king of Europe by now. Hey Arsene Wanker, Arsenal is not our yard stick and we will not live in your shadow. You do you and let us do us, you go another 7 years trophy-less with your cheap a****SS players and let us win one more trophy every year that you don't win with our expensive quality players. Who do you think you are and why do you go around talking trash? if your theory is so full prof and it's the best then prove it by wining and maybe all other clubs will follow your path, until then shut ya mother f***ing mouth ya jealous son of b*****!

I can bet my life that if billionaires came along and took over ManU and Arsenal, everyone would shut their mouths and be all smiles. One day it will happen, and when it does, all the crying will stop. It's like being at the candy store and crying to your mommy that the rich boy has a bigger lollipop than you. Get over it. Jealousy is a bad thing.

Arsene doesn't mind selling players at hugely inflated prices to City though. What a hypocrite this fellow is. It didn't bother him when he was spending plenty building a team when City didn't have a pot to pee in.
