Wigan want Arsenal winger Miyaichi regardless of Moses future
Wigan Athletic will approach Arsenal over the possibility of taking their Japan winger Ryo Miyaichi on loan for the season, the Daily Mirror has reported, with the newspaper claiming Roberto Martinez will make the move whether or not Victor Moses joins Chelsea.
Martinez is said to view Miyaichi as a potential replacement for Moses but the deal is not dependent on the Nigerian moving to Stamford Bridge. Arsenal are known to be willing - indeed, eager - to loan Miyaichi for the coming campaign after the 19-year-old spent the second half of last season with Bolton Wanderers.
Moses has been the subject of extensive interest from Chelsea, with the Champions League winners having a series of bids rejected. However, Moses has revealed he will not sign a new contract with the Latics before his current deal expires next summer, while the Mirror adds the forward will be sold to Chelsea if the right offer is made.
