Arsenal are open to the idea of selling Russia international Andrei Arshavin and Turkish side Galatasaray have made an offer for the midfielder, but Arsene Wenger is willing to hold out for more than is currently on offer for the player, the Daily Mirror has reported.

Galatasaray have bid £4m for the 31-year-old but Wenger would prefer to wait to see if bids of a higher value are incoming, with the manager said to want more like £7m for Arshavin. Premier League side Queens Park Rangers are understood to be interested in Arshavin, while the player himself has designs on a lucrative move to the Middle East.

Arshavin spent the second half of last season on loan with former club Zenit St. Petersburg but has reportedly made it clear he is unwilling to return on a permanent deal. One of Arshavin’s advisers admitted his client would be open to a move to Turkey, however.
