Manchester United’s Ashley Young has spoken about his fellow winger Antonio Valencia and praised him as one of the most complete players on and off the pitch. Young, who at times has been left out of the Man Utd side such has been Valencia’s form, is delighted to have the ex-Wigan player in his team, according to the Daily Mirror.

Last season he had had everything,” said Young. “He attacks, he defends, he can shoot, he can cross, he can pass - he has it all. That’s why he scooped up everything at the end-of-season awards. It’s why the players voted for him and it’s why the fans voted for him.

He’s fantastic to play with,” Young continued. “Antonio, like every other player, knows how to look after himself as well. He knows what to eat, what to drink and he works closely with our fitness coaches.

Since signing from Wigan in the summer of 2009, Valencia has established himself as a first team regular at Old Trafford and battled back from a broken leg suffered against Rangers in the Champions League in late 2010 to make a full recovery and hit top form last season, producing six goals and 15 assists in all competitions.

Valencia could line up against his former club Wigan as United resume their Premier League campaign on Saturday following the international break, before opening their Champions League campaign with another home game, this time to Galatasaray four days later.
