Fulham return to the home comforts of Craven Cottage as they look to try and revitalise a season that has dangerously skidded to a halt since their opening day 5-0 destruction of Norwich, with Martin Jol’s men suffering two defeats on the bounce as well as losing star players Moussa Dembele and Clint Dempsey before the closure of the transfer window.

However, star deadline day signing from Manchester United Dimitar Berbatov could make his debut for the Cottagers alongside fellow new boys Giorgos Karagounis and Ashkan Dejagah. Elsewhere, Bryan Ruiz is said to have a 50/50 of making his comeback from a hamstring injury but Kieran Richardson, another summer purchase by Jol has been ruled out.

Opponents West Brom have made an excellent start to the season under new manager Steve Clarke. The Baggies remain unbeaten after defeating Liverpool on the opening day of the season, taking a point from Tottenham before defeating form side Everton at the Hawthorns in their last outing. Indeed, Clarke’s men currently sit in a lofty third position and will travel to West London with confidence high.

Clarke has a multitude of options to choose from, particularly up front now that on-loan Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku recovered from the foot injury that ruled him out of the victory against Everton to play for Belgium in the week. Right back Steven Reid is doubtful having picked up a hamstring problem while Jerome Thomas is out for a further two to three weeks after undergoing knee surgery.

Gee, I love some good-natured football banetr! I just came across this, and it automatically brought a smile to my lips coz it reminded me of THAT victory over the Mancs not so long ago! (Not that i forgot about it!) I wore my Liverpool scarf to uni for 2 weeks after that, drove the mancs mad!! They kept trying to explain that the defeat was part of Sir Alex Boozenose's strategy to win the league! Lol!!Concerning Liverpool not getting the credit they deserve in the media, i'd like to refer you to Bob Harris' articles for Week-End every Sunday. I get incensed every time i read those! Whenever Liverpool lose, its coz of Rafa's rotation policy, not enough English players in the squad, too many spanish ones in it, the Academy not producing enough youngsters, etc. But when we win, it's pure luck, of course! The other team was so bad that anyone could have beaten them. Liverpool did not do THAT great a job, it's no big deal!Grrrrrrr!!!!! He drives me up the wall, that one! That's why i'll never forget when he ended up with egg all over his face! Once, before Liverpool were to play Birmingham City (he's a Brum fan) in the FA Cup (i think), he predicted brum would hold us to a 1-1 draw. Hah!! We hammered them 7-0!!! You could practically see his face burning in his next article!See?? Never mess with Liverpool! Coz when we're mad, we're REALLY mad!!!YNWA!
