Swansea vs Everton - Match preview and team news

Friday 21 September 2012

Two sides that have had positive starts to the Premier League campaigns meet at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.

Both Swansea and Everton shot out of the blocks with two victories in as many games, only to draw one and lose one of the remaining two, leaving them level on seven points prior to this encounter.

Swansea had netted more, with a 5-0 win over QPR, and 3-0 at home to West Ham. Their most recent outing was however a 2-0 away defeat to Aston Villa.

Everton meanwhile beat Manchester United at Goodison Park, before beating Villa away, losing to West Brom, and most recently, drawing at home to Newcastle.

For the Toffees striker Nikica Jelavic is a doubt with a knee injury, who impressed after coming on against Newcastle on Monday night. Kevin Mirallas should partner him up-front.

For the Swans, late fitness checks will be necessary for Ashley Williams, Danny Graham and Leon Britton, and Pablo Hernandez is set for his first Swansea start. Defender Chico is out serving a suspension for a red card.
