Norwich vs Liverpool - Match preview and team news

Friday 28 September 2012

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton will lead his team out at Carrow Road and be hoping to get their first three points of the season as they take on Liverpool, who are also searching for their first win in the Premier League.

The Canaries progressed to the fourth round of the Capital One Cup in the week and Hughton is likely to keep Bradley Johnson and Jonny Howson in midfield, while Steve Morison should also retain his place up front.

Liverpool made eleven changes for the win at West Brom midweek and Brendan Rodgers is expected to ring the changes again.

The likes of Steven Gerrard, Joe Allen and Luis Suarez are all expected to return after being given the night off in midweek. However after his two goals at the Hawthorns, Nuri Sahin could have played his way into a starting spot due to Jonjo Shelvey's suspension.

Brendan Rodgers may also have the services of Daniel Agger and Fabio Borini. However young full-back Martin Kelly suffered an anterior cruciate ligament rupture in his knee during Sunday's Anfield encounter with Manchester United and will need surgery.
