Sunday 07 October 2012

Chelsea midfielder Oscar is trying to persuade Santos striker Neymar to snub the advances of Barcelona and join the European champions Chelsea next summer, The Daily Mail reports.

Neymar

Oscar played with Neymar at the London 2012 Olympics and is hoping for a reunion next season, but faces stiff competition from both Barcelona and Real Madrid. The Santos forward has revealed that the Chelsea midfielder has been speaking to him regularly to try and bring him to London, but Neymar is also approached by Dani Alves with the hope to move to the Nou Camp.

Neymar said: “Oscar messages me to tell me what a great club Chelsea is and what a great city London is. He and Dani are both very good salesman for their clubs. When the time is right, I will listen to the right offers that my agent has for me.”

Neymar’s adopted brother Jo Amancio has revealed that a move to Europe is imminent for the Brazilian international. Amancio was coy about where Neymar would move to, but hailed the Brazilian as a ‘phenomenon’.
