Inter target Arsenal defender Sagna

Wednesday 10 October 2012

Bacary Sagna could make a summer move from Arsenal to Inter, the Daily Mail has reported, as the Serie A giants line up a move for the France international full-back.

Bacary Sagna

Sagna has missed much of the last few months with a broken leg suffered late last season against Norwich City in a Premier League fixture. But Sagna has now returned to training although the form of Carl Jenkinson has been such that Sagna is not guaranteed to regain his place in Arsene Wenger’s side.

That, combined with the expiration of Sagna’s contract in 2014 - and the discontent the 29-year-old displayed in criticising the club’s transfer policy over the summer after Alex Song and Robin van Persie were both sold - could spur Inter into action. It has been claimed in the Italian media that the San Siro side are monitoring Sagna’s rehabilitation closely with the consideration of a bid for the defender.
