Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Chelsea. Today:

Blues complete Kalas signing.

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of teenage star Tomas Kalas, the 17-year-old defender from Czech Republic side Sigma Olomouc, however he will not join the Blue‘s for another year as he will be loaned back to the Czech side. Chelsea academy boss Neil Bath told the Press Association: "He is now going into the under-18s, and made his first-team debut last season. Very athletic and quick, he is a very good one-on-one defender and comfortable on the ball."

Werder admit Chelsea Ozil interest.

Werder Bremen have admitted they expect bids from Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs for German wonder kid Mesut Ozil this summer. The 21-year-old has impressed this summer and has just one year left on his contract at the Bundesliga side and Bremen’s General manager Klaus Allofs told German newspaper Bild: “Now he is playing a fantastic World Cup campaign, there is definitely increasing interest. But when it comes down to concrete bids, nothing has been done. We want him to stay on and actually there is no news. There are no indications he does not want to see out his contract at our club."

Torres offer made.

Following reports Roman Abramovich flew out directly to South Africa to seal a deal for Fernando Torres, the Daily Mail claims Chelsea have launched a formal bid of £40m for the Spanish star. And reports claim the Blue’s boss has no problem with paying up to £70m for the kop forward who has endured a disappointed World Cup. Abramovich and Chelsea are hoping to take advantage of the recent turmoil at Anfield after already convincing Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun to switch to Stamford Bridge.
