Arsenal news - Fabregas forced to stay, Cruise wants loan move, Wenger questioned on failure to land new keeper
Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Arsenal. Today:

Fabregas forced to stay.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has claimed Arsenal forced him to stay at the Emirates against his will. Catalan giants Barcelona spent almost the whole summer courting the 23-year-old central midfielder, and Arsene Wenger has previously said that it was his love for Arsenal which convinced Fabregas to remain in north London. The Spaniard claims differently according to the paper, saying: "Barcelona did all they could to sign me but Arsenal told me that there was no way they were going to let me go. In the end I had to stay - but the content of my conversation with Arsene Wenger will remain private."
Cruise wants loan move.
Arsenal starlet Thomas Cruise is after a loan move away from the Emirates to gain some first team experience. Cruise, 19, has thus far managed only one appearance for the first team in the Champions League in December 2009. The centre-back feels that he could gain invaluable first team experience whilst out on loan. He told SkySports: “I'd like to go out on loan this season and get experience, something which would be a big benefit for me."”
Wenger questioned on failure to land new keeper.
Arsene Wenger has come under fire from two former Arsenal personnel for failing to land a top goalkeeper this summer - something the Frenchman had declared would be a priority. Mirror Football reports that legendary keeper John Lukic cannot understand the logic in chasing unavailable ageing veteran Mark Schwarzer - claiming that the Gunners should have instead chased Liverpool's Pepe Reina, Inter's Julio Cesar or Barcelona stopper Victor Valdes. Meanwhile, Wenger's predecessor at the Gunners, George Graham, said: "Arsene has the money, so why not go and spend £10m or £12m on a real top-quality keeper? I don’t really understand why he has not done that."
