Newcastle news - Xisco suffers three-game ban, Hughton keen on Boukheifa, Lua Lua wants Newcastle career
Every morning A Different League searches the nations press to bring you the latest goings on at Newcastle. Today:

Xisco suffers three-game ban.
Newcastle United have confirmed their striker Xisco will be banned for three matches, after being sent off in the reserve team match against Sunderland, the club’s official website reports. The Spaniard striker will be ineligible for the games against Blackpool and Everton in the Premier League as well as the Carling Cup tie against Chelsea, despite the incident occurring in the reserve side. Xisco was sent off for kicking out at the Wearsiders’ Jordan Cook. This gives his chance of re-establishing his first team position a real blow and will put the 24-year-old back down the pecking order at St. James Park.
Hughton keen on Boukheifa.
Newcastle are weighing up a bid for 19-year-old attacking midfielder Nacim Boukheifa, the Sunday Sun reports. The former Lens prospect is a free agent and is on trial at St. James Park with the Newcastle United development squad. Boukheifa was on trial with Man City earlier in the summer, but failed to secure an Eastlands contract. Manager Chris Hughton said: “We’re taking a closer look at him and if he is good enough then we’ll assess the situation. At the moment we’re keeping an eye on him and seeing how he progresses.” Boukheifa was spotted at the training ground earlier last week, but Newcastle fans mistook him for new signing Hatem Ben Arfa from Marseille.
Lua Lua wants Newcastle career.
On loan Brighton midfielder Kazenga Lua Lua admits he still sees a career for himself at St. James Park, Sky Sports reports. The 19-year-old winger has a three year deal at St. James Park and is on loan at Brighton for four months, but hopes that he can force his way into the Newcastle set up. Lua Lua, the brother of ex-Newcastle striker Lomana, said: “I was at Brighton last season and I enjoyed it. I have to say my priority is at Newcastle United, though. I love playing for Newcastle and pulling on the black-and-white shirt.” LuaLua put in a man-of-the-match performance in his last game for Newcastle against Accrington Stanley in the Carling Cup and he will hope his performances for Brighton will put him back in Newcastle contention.
